Thom van Oss, the Director of Apex Dynamics, talks enthusiastically about his company's latest initiative: the APEXperience. This new product is not a gear, rack or pinion, but an e-learning platform designed to make the knowledge and expertise around our products more accessible. In this article, he talks about how and why.
"We are always ready to provide our customers with the knowledge and expertise that can make a difference in practice. In addition, we like to do our part in motivating and training new, young technicians. With our in-depth knowledge and years of experience, we contribute not only to the development of the industry, but also to the development of our future colleagues and peers. For this reason, we have developed the APEXperience." - Thom van Oss, director Apex Dynamics
The goal is to help our customers and users use the products of Apex Dynamics even better and use them more effectively. Our slogan "Move Forward" refers not only to thinking ahead, but also to sharing and applying our knowledge and expertise to support our customers and train the young engineers of the future.
"Together we are working to advance not only mechanical engineering, but also the knowledge and careers of up-and-coming young engineers," says Thom. "That is the true meaning of our slogan Move Forward and what makes the APEXperience such a fun initiative."
"The APEXperience is a platform that provides insight into the gearboxes, racks and pinions in the range of Apex Dynamics and how they can be used in practice. On this platform you can learn not only how our products work, but also in which situations you can best apply them and when it might be better to consider alternative solutions. Useful, because if you use a product that is sub-optimal for the application, the product may in fact be damaged or even break down. After completing the APEXperience, you'll know exactly how to prevent that from happening.
But it goes beyond our products, of course. You build with the APEXperience also, of course, to your general knowledge."
"The platform is open to anyone interested in our products or field. The main target audience is young engineers and our (potential) customers, with the goal of providing everyone with in-depth knowledge about our products. The learning experience is based on watching short videos and looking up information on our website so that you can then answer questions to test your knowledge. You can answer the questions at your own pace, without any time pressure. And once you've answered all the questions, you'll immediately receive an APEXperience certificate. You can share the certificate on LinkedIn to show that you have successfully completed the course."
"I am very curious about the reactions. There are already many relations who have indicated that they are going to participate and of course we want to welcome as many people as possible to our platform. In our first test with Team Rembrandts it all went smoothly, so I don't think there are any major bugs left. So ready for the general public," Thom grins.
"No, no kidding. We are not expecting entire hordes of people, but rather engineers and relations who want just a little more knowledge of our products. Or students who come into contact with gearboxes during their education. I hope they will say, "Yes, that was worth it. And that they will be proud of the nice prize they earned with it."
Apex Dynamics invites everyone to use the APEXperience to further develop their knowledge and expertise.
