Safety bumpers now fully customizable

For pedestrians around shuttle or AGV, it becomes a lot safer when AGV and shuttle are equipped with a safety bumper (and scanner).

Safety bumpers are made of foam incorporating multiple pressure-sensitive contacts. The foam is protected by a polyester cover in safety colors. If the foam is pressed in, the safety relay signals that the bumper is actuated and the drive is disengaged. The foam traps the vehicle's remaining residual velocity due to its depressing ability so that not all of the force is transferred to body parts. The bumpers are available in any size, you can even provide your own drawing with all specifications, also waterproof IP65 and ATEX.

Entrapment between Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) or other types of automatically driven vehicles and fixed objects can be prevented by applying safety bumpers. The principle works similar to the safety bumpers except that speed, braking distance and mass of the vehicle are taken into account so that after the brake is applied, the vehicle is stopped before a person becomes trapped.
