Stäubli, world leader in industrial and mechatronic solutions, today officially opened its new Benelux office in Kortrijk, Belgium. The new office illustrates the company's continued local growth in the sectors of textile machinery, electrical connectors, fluid connectors and robotics over the past 22 years and positions Stäubli for its ambitious plans for the future.

The new offices are located at Pottelberg in Kortrijk, in close proximity to the company's former site in Bissegem. The building is twice the size of the previous site (2275 m²) and now includes a state-of-the-art showroom for the company's broad technology portfolio, more space for training and improved storage and logistics facilities. Solar panels, sensor-controlled LED lighting and heat pumps round out the new facilities and ensure energy-efficient operation of the new building.
From the new location, a total of 37 employees are in charge of pre-sales, sales and after-sales services to Stäubli's customers and partners, as well as training around its technology portfolio with specific expertise in feasibility testing and workshops around robotics and automation.

With its roots in the textile industry, Stäubli began 22 years ago in Bissegem as a wholesaler of advanced textile machinery. Soon the local offering was complemented by the company's other areas of expertise: Robotics followed in 2001, Fluid Connectors in 2002 and Electrical Connectors in 2004. The former building in Bissegem soon proved too small and a second office building was added at the same location. In recent years, the existing facilities became too small to comfortably accommodate all employees with the same range of services. A long search finally led to a brand new office on the Pottelberg site in Kortrijk, a stone's throw from the old building.

"We are proud of our new office, located in the dynamic Pottelberg Commercial Center, a place with businesses, stores, restaurants and leisure activities. Our new facilities are double the size of our previous location. This gives us confidence that we can meet our own needs and those of our customers in the years to come," said Jo Dekeyster, Managing Director of Stäubli Benelux.
"Our investment in the new Benelux office confirms our confidence in and commitment to the region. We have expanded our capabilities to meet the growing demand from our solar industry customers for larger stocks of MC4 connectors and the demand from all other industries for more testing and training solutions," said Gerald Vogt, CEO of the Stäubli Group.

As Stäubli is also celebrating the 40th anniversary of Stäubli Robotics this year, Helmo, the company's mobile robot, was chosen to assist with the official ribbon cutting as a sign of a further step in future-oriented cooperation between humans and robots, and to give the official opening another special moment.
