Apex introduces new product series for high-end drives: The MGO/MGOH series

Apex Dynamics is further expanding its extensive product range with the introduction of the MGO/MGOH series. This new product line responds to growing market demand and offers innovative solutions for high-performance applications. With unmatched power transmission, this series is the ultimate choice for demanding drive systems. In this article, we highlight the unique features and benefits of this powerful new series.

High power density

What makes this MGO/MGOH series so special? First of all, the gearboxes feature larger mounting holes, allowing easy and precise adjustment of, for example, a pinion on a rack. In addition, the internal construction of the gearbox is optimized for handling high forces, while eight bolt holes ensure stable mounting. For applications where the highest forces are required, the Curvic Plate flange can be added. This unique solution enables the combination of strength and precision unmatched in the industry.

Because Apex Dynamics the gearboxes, pinions and racks ourselves, we can calculate the torques and precision of the linear system, down to the Nm and micrometer!"

MGO Series

The MGO series offers impressive specifications, including rated torque of up to 4,035 Nm, rigidity of 1,050 Nm/arcmin and tipping torque of up to 22,000 N. The angled variant MGOK features a hypoid or bevel gear pre-stage and offers gear ratios up to 10,000:1. The output flange follows the ISO9409 standard, but can also be equipped with the patented Curvic Plate flange for direct pinion mounting, providing the highest force density. Optionally, a shaft attachment can be added to realize an output shaft. This series is further equipped with helical gearing and a planetary carrier with three planetary wheels for efficient power transmission.

MGOH Series

The MGOH series, an extra-strength variant, can handle rated torque of up to 5,905 Nm and also has a rigidity of 1,050 Nm/arcmin and tipping torque of up to 22,000 N. The angled variant MGOHK offers a hypoid or bevel gear pre-stage with gear ratios up to 5,500:1. Like the MGO series, the output flange complies with the ISO9409 standard and can be equipped with the Curvic Plate flange or a shaft attachment. An important difference is that the planetary carrier of the MGOH series includes four planetary wheels, allowing even higher torque transfer.

Curvic Plate

One of the most innovative features of this series is the patented Curvic Plate flange. This flange not only allows for compact and powerful construction, but also provides the flexibility to quickly change pinions.
