An ultra compact actuator at Groneman

The SMELA liteECO® series is the most compact electromechanical alternative to pneumatic short stroke cylinders due to their telescopic concept of Motor and Mechanics*. This makes them ideal for the linear movements often required in production lines, machine tools or packaging systems. How compact is compact? The smallest housing already comes with a flange size of 50 mm at a length of 77 mm.

A servo motor including positioning sensors enables the movement of simple to complex profiles: for fixing, adjusting, locking and traversing all movement processes. The highly efficient motor not only saves more than 75% energy compared to pneumatic systems. Together with the clever placement of the mechanics, it especially provides space savings of up to 80% compared to existing electric solutions. In addition, the liteECO® series is suitable for retrofit. Replacing a worn mechanism is very easy and helps the drives achieve multiple life cycles: sustainable, cost- and resource-saving.

The new LE50 series integrates all the advantages of its predecessor, the LE48, and complements them with the essential features for high demands in industry, especially the automotive and food industry. In addition to sealing to protection class IP65, LE-BASE round connectors (hybrid M15) with a self-locking quick disconnect system have been added to the basic version. Also new is the scalability of the maximum stroke in increments of 45, 80 and 115 millimeters, a fitting edge on the flange accommodates various flanges and fittings. These can be mounted on both the front and rear of the actuator.
