TechniShow 2024: The manufacturing industry of tomorrow

From March 12 to 15, Royal Dutch Jaarbeurs opens its doors for TechniShow; for almost three-quarters of a century the platform of the manufacturing industry in the Benelux. As of old, the entire manufacturing industry comes together at the trade fair for innovative industrial production technology. With the theme 'The manufacturing industry of tomorrow', around 325 exhibitors show their running machines, innovations, new techniques and solutions. TechniShow takes place simultaneously with the trade fair ESEF Maakindustrie.

With the theme "The manufacturing industry of tomorrow," around 325 exhibitors will show their rotating machines, innovations, new techniques and solutions.

Theme Square Additive Manufacturing

Additive manufacturing (3D printing) is one of the main themes at this coming edition. At the so-called theme square Additive Manufacturing, visitors will see the entire 3D process. Ricardo Vivas, TechniShow exhibition manager: "3D printing is increasingly becoming part of the whole manufacturing process. At the theme plaza, exhibitors show various innovations in this area. However, AM parts almost always need post-processing. This is an essential part of the AM process. Visitors will find the machines and technology for this elsewhere at TechniShow."

Guided tours

For visitors who want to dive deeper into specific topics, there are several guided tours led by experts. Here you will gain insight into the latest technologies and innovations within the fields of sheet metal working, additive manufacturing, automation and machining. The tours take place on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday mornings. Vivas: "We advise visitors to register early for these tours."

Innovations from talented student teams

Within the trade show, the focus is on recruiting and retaining talent. Several student teams are showcasing their innovations. For example, TU Delft students from the Forze Hydrogen Racing Team are demonstrating a hydrogen racing car. Another TU Delft student team, Project MARCH, presents a motorized suit that allows people with spinal cord injury to stand and walk again. This year TechniShow also has a Start-up street for emerging companies and a Career street bringing together parties within the manufacturing industry.

'Make' and 'buy' under one roof

TechniShow takes place simultaneously with the ESEF Maakindustrie trade show. The strength of this combination is that it brings 'make' and 'buy' under one roof. Together, TechniShow and ESEF Maakindustrie form the largest platform in the Benelux in the field of industrial production technology, processing and machining of metals, plastics, accessories and tools. "Visitors are therefore very welcome to visit both trade fairs, in order to achieve a perfect combination of 'make and buy' solutions," explains Vivas.
