The Precision Fair 2023: Collaboration and innovation in the high-tech industry

High tech is a crucial pillar of the (inter)national economy. For example, this sector is now responsible for 50% of all R&D investments in the Netherlands with an export value of some 22 billion. The demand for high-tech products continues to grow, which also accelerates developments and innovations around precision technology. Their realization requires specialization in various fields, but also cooperation and knowledge sharing. During the 22nd edition of the Precision Fair, organized by Mikrocentrum, on November 15 and 16 in the Brabanthallen in 's-Hertogenbosch, the entire precision technology value chain will therefore come together to share knowledge about the latest developments and to network.

On the Precision Fair therefore, top industry professionals, educational institutions, government agencies, technical universities and incubator programs meet annually to collaborate on the future to continue to meet the increasing demand for precision. "New connections are made and many existing relationships are maintained," says program manager Bart Kooijmans. "This is important because it allows the chain to share important knowledge with each other and easily connect with potential partners or customers. This strengthens the entire chain and helps accelerate technological progress. In the Brabanthallen we have all the space we need to welcome the entire supply chain. As a result, this year we see growth not only in the number of exhibitors but also in the number of industry associations. The Precision Fair is like a catalyst for the high-tech industry."

More than 325 exhibitors and 50 inspiration sessions

With a diverse program and over 325 exhibitors, the Precision Fair once again promises plenty of inspiration and room for (new) encounters. The exhibitors specialize in areas such as mechatronic engineering & systems, metrology, vacuum & clean, micromachining & motion, laser & photonics and high-precision manufacturing. In addition to the exhibitors, visitors can also participate in 50 inspiration sessions where they can meet various international companies and experts. One of the already confirmed keynote speakers is Cor Ottens, System Architect at ASML. In his keynote he will highlight his vision on Optometronics DUV.

Networking arena with live stage

This year's Networking Arena is bigger than ever. Here people can interact with as many as 25 networking organizations. Visitors can also attend live radio broadcasts from BNR Nieuwsradio, short presentations, workshops, award ceremonies and panel discussions on both days. Some already confirmed highlights are the launch of the first copy of PIT magazine, the presentation of the Ir. Davidson Award and the Wim van der Hoek Award by DSPE, pitches by young talents (PhD students, student teams and start-ups) highlighting their projects, a panel discussion provided by the Mikrocentrum High Tech Platform in cooperation with DSPE and a workshop by PhotonicNL.

Special focus on AM for Precision

This edition spotlights AM for Precision as a special theme. For example, there will be an AM for Precision themed plaza where 14 Additive Manufacturing specialists will present their applications. And in the lecture program, there is an entire lecture track dedicated to these additive technologies deployed for the manufacture of finished products.

Big Science meets high-tech

Since 2012, ILOnet has ensured that the major scientific programs, under the banner of Big Science, are widely represented at the Precision Fair. In addition to a presence in the Network Hall, some of these programs are again providing lectures this year in which visitors will be informed about the progress, plans and procurement needs of these major international projects. Among those represented are the Einstein Telescope, ESA, CERN, DIFFER and ITER.

Meet & Match by Enterprise Europe Network

As also every year, the Enterprise Europe Network, in cooperation with Mikrocentrum, organizes the international B2B matchmaking event. The aim of the Meet & Match is to identify relevant contacts across the supply chain by facilitating personal 1:1 conversations. Interested parties can register now via the website.

Free admission and registration

The Precisiebeurs is organized by Mikrocentrum and supported by the Province of North Brabant, media partners, industry associations and cooperation partners. The Precisiebeurs is free to visit in the Brabanthallen, 's-Hertogenbosch (NL) on November 15 and 16. Register your visit via the button below.
