Highlights on the LAPP-stand
Every year, users, decision-makers and politicians from around the world gather at Hannover Messe. As usual LAPP in the middle of it. From March 31 to April 4, the global market leader for integrated solutions and branded products in cable and connection technology will be at its booth (Hall 11, Booth C15) to give the industry an exciting boost with new products, innovations and smart solutions.
The motto of the industrial trade show "Industrial Transformation - Energizing a sustainable future" fits the cable manufacturer's trade show appearance this year like a glove. At the booth of LAPP visitors and users will find smart connection solutions for a more sustainable future and for Industry 4.0 again this year. The focus is therefore on products and solutions from LAPP which impress both by their high performance and sustainability and thus make a decisive contribution to the energy transition or shape the industry of tomorrow.
The direction in which the cable manufacturer is currently thinking and working can be seen particularly well at the exhibition booth of LAPP at the FutureLab. Here LAPP innovative solutions and sustainable projects in various stages of realization. Experts from LAPP demonstrate, for example, advances and ongoing projects in additive manufacturing and rapid prototyping, as well as the in-house chatbot "Lapp Product Expert" and explain how larger conductor cross sections reduce costs and CO2-emissions can reduce. Users can also learn more about the benefits of calculating CO2-footprint of the LAPP-product portfolio and how the cable specialist's development department is working on new, more durable product variants.
LAPP is also strongly positioned in the field of renewable energy with products and solutions for solar, wind and infrastructure projects and brings experts, knowledge and high-quality references to Hanover.
Of course, new products will also be on display at the booth of LAPP. The company is showcasing a new EPIC® M23 connector. The component in the new "Clean Design" is designed for direct connection to servomotors. With this new product, the company offers LAPP OEMs now a full-service cabling solution from the control cabinet to the inside of the engine. The new ÖLFLEX® HEAT 700 SC is the successor to the ÖLFLEX® HEAT 650 SC with the advantage of a temperature range designed for even greater heat. It can withstand a permanent heat load of 700 degrees Celsius. ÖLFLEX® AQUA is a new, durable and robust PUR connection cable for aquaculture and is characterized by its UV and ozone resistance. The cable is suitable for use in seawater, is resistant to ammonia and is designed to resist attack by algae and mussels.
The topic of specialty cables will be represented for the first time at the exhibition booth. Although LAPP has a portfolio of more than 40,000 standard products, there are always customer requirements that are so special that they require a custom solution. This is where all the engineering expertise and accumulated knowledge of the cable specialist comes in. Visitors to the booth can see exactly what the process behind this service looks like and where LAPP has already scored with it.
One of the world's largest industrial fairs cannot miss the topic of industrial communications. This year, LAPP not only a comprehensive portfolio for the different levels of the automation pyramid, but also its proven range of fiber optic cables. At the LAPP workbench, interested visitors can experience live how a fiber optic cable is assembled on site using the Fibre Fast Connect system. In addition, numerous LAPP-experts on hand to offer comprehensive advice on topics such as Single Pair Ethernet (SPE), Advanced Physical Layer (APL) and cloud connectivity. On the Industrial Communication Wall, visitors can see at a glance where the extensive LAPP product portfolio is used at all levels of the automation pyramid, from the field to the cloud.
Whether it's turnkey drag chains for storage towers or automated storage and transport systems, intralogistics is once again the focus of this year's event at LAPP. The cable specialist now offers a complete portfolio of products, solutions and services, as well as extensive expertise for this industry. Especially exciting for users: The new remote I/O devices from LAPP, which support IO-Link technology. The communication system enables a point-to-point connection between an IO-Link device (e.g., a sensor) and an IO-Link master and enables decentralized acquisition and control of process data by connecting sensors and actuators to the control system via a bus interface. This year, the connection specialist will also demonstrate its extensive expertise in LAPP Harnessing Solutions with proven assemblies demonstrating at the exhibition booth. The company impresses with industry-standard servo assemblies, custom cable assemblies and complex system solutions. These solutions are complemented by a wide range of services that provide customers with optimal support throughout the production process.
The cable manufacturer is also increasingly thinking in terms of total solutions in the field of e-mobility and brings the concentrated LAPP-expertise for AC and DC charging infrastructures to the Hannover Messe. From external supply lines to charging stations, charging parks and electrified underground parking lots from the medium voltage level to power cables, communication cables and screw connections within the charging stations and externally connected CCS2 plugs, LAPP offers installers and operators of charging parks the complete package for cabling in proven LAPP-quality and manufactured from a single source, including comprehensive consulting services. This year's highlight is the new, high-quality DC charging cable with CCS2 plug including interchangeable plug-in surface for installation at DC charging stations. Also included are proven AC charging solutions such as the LAPP Mobility Dock and the Helix charging cable.
