Outdoor equipment moisture-free

The most common solution to prevent condensation in equipment is to raise the dew point by internal heating. Sometimes that solution is not adequate because there is too much water or because heating the equipment is not desired.

For this, Seifert Systems has a the TG-3039 a peltier-based dehumidifier that actually removes and drains moisture. The peltier forms the coldest spot within the application, so that is where the moisture condenses. The excess moisture can be removed passively with tubing or actively with an optional integrated pump.

This 24Vdc dehumidifier can drain about 0.5 liters of water per 24 hours, is itself IP56 and can be used from 0 - 65°C. The TG-3039 measures 176 x 136mm and the depth is 72mm without and 133mm with pump.

Typical applications are outdoor telecom cabinets. Traffic control systems, charging stations, etc.
