SICK safeVisionary2: field monitoring up to the third dimension

With the safeVisionary2 SICK brings to market a secure 3D Time-of-Flight camera with Performance Level c. This compact and favorably priced 3D camera for object detection is widely applicable, including for the monitoring of danger zones around a machine, but also for the 3D security of mobile platforms.

Regarding the latter, the safeVisionary2 can be used, among other things, for monitoring the direction of travel and for side protection. For example, does the AGC or AGV keep sufficient distance from another mobile platform or from the wall? In addition, cliff detection is also among the possibilities: because the safeVisionary2 view in three dimensions, obstacles such as stairs as well as falling loads and tilting vehicles are immediately visible. This prevents collisions and accidents.

Even in navigation capabilities, the TOF camera takes mobile platforms to an even higher level. Localization based on 3D contours enables an AGC or AGV to navigate even more freely and intelligently.

In addition to its application possibilities, the safeVisionary2 also excels in ease of installation. The safe camera is easy to commission and configure via the SICK Safety Designer. With its already attractive pricing, the safeVisionary2 also helps save on installation time and costs.
