Getac 410 laptops are used throughout Europe by WABCOWÜRTH Workshop Services GmbH to diagnose commercial vehicles

WABCOWÜRTH Workshop Services GmbH, a joint venture between the Würth Group and the Commercial Vehicle Control Systems division of the ZF Group, is using rugged Getac S410 laptops to improve the efficiency of its multi-brand diagnostics systems for commercial vehicles across Europe. The powerful and robust Getac laptops were chosen for their high resistance, ease of use and excellent connectivity. They can be easily adapted to varying EU requirements. Since early 2024, several thousand devices have now been successfully used: in demanding workshop environments, outdoors, in different weather conditions and under various other extreme conditions.

WABCOWÜRTH specializes in multi-brand diagnostic solutions for commercial vehicles. The W.EASY diagnostic systems, consisting of hardware and software, must withstand the tough daily working conditions in specialized workshops: in extreme heat and cold, during outdoor tests, in all weather conditions or when operated with dirty hands. They are not only used on docking stations or special trolleys, but also stand directly on dirty workshop carts.

The previously used robust solution from another manufacturer no longer met the required functionality and flexibility. Therefore, WABCOWÜRTH conducted extensive research to choose a new supplier. "The total package of price, performance, value, quality & design and excellent communication with Getac convinced us," says Patrick Koch, Diagnostic Product Manager at WABCOWÜRTH.

This is especially important for outdoor use. Therefore, the S410 laptops have proven themselves: they are powerful, user-friendly, have easy-to-read displays even in outdoor use, and guarantee high reliability - even in very extreme workshop environments or outdoors. "The devices work reliably and flawlessly; so far we have not had a single complaint. It doesn't get any better," said Patrick Koch. The close cooperation with Getac and its Platinum Partner PWA Electronic, through which WABCOWÜRTH procures its devices, provides high-quality customized solutions.
