'Measure the facts': as a credo it can count. KROHNE therefore makes every effort to develop an adequate measurement solution for every application in any industry. Standard process variables measurement, process diagnostics, medium information: it is all necessary to achieve improved process control, efficiency and production.
Today Krohne has a complete product portfolio of flow, level, analysis, pressure and temperature measurement technology. The company continues to play the card of innovation, resulting in numerous novelties every year. This year, for example, we were able to welcome, among others, the new generation of 80 GHz radar level transmitters. These devices are suitable for liquids and solids applications in various industries. "Just think about corosive liquids, narrow tanks with internal obstructions, measurements in reactors or powders and dusty environments," says sales engineer Wim Lintermans. "All OPTIWAVE instruments are equipped with two-wire 4 ... 20 mA HART 7 communication and available with a wide choice of process connections from ¾" up. They are supplied with cost-free PACTware™ DTM with full functionality and can obtain the necessary approvals for explosion hazardous applications."

No loss of measurement signal
What is new is that the KROHNE Optimass 1000, 2000, 6000 and 7000 now have an MFC 400 converter. Lintermans: "This gives users the benefit of Entrained Gas Management (EGM™) which means no loss of the measurement signal up to 100% gas containment in the medium." Finally, KROHNE is particularly proud of the new Optibar 5060 eDP electronic differential pressure measurement for level applications in open or closed tanks, evaporators, distillation columns and processes with foaming or agitators where fast response times are required. Lintermans: "For corrosive liquids, the Optibar DS diaphragm seal program is available. The electronic differential pressure measurement uses two pressure transmitters (Optibar PC/PM 5060) connected by cable. The two process pressure transmitters with metallic or ceramic measuring cells are connected as electronic differential pressure measurement. The Slave sends the pressure value to the Master which calculates the pressure difference between the two measured values every 20 ms."
